Corporate Social Responsibility is paramount in building sustainable relationships with the community.
On 19th of July 2019, SGA Uganda staff extended this spirit to the nearby communities of St. Stevens and St. Mbaga in Kireka C and in Kira Municipality respectively. Staff donated items which were then shared with the community; among the donated items were foodstuff: sugar, salt, rice, posho, cooking oil, bread, usable items; clothes, shoes and soap. SGA Uganda managed to serve 120 families specifically targeting the widowed, the orphaned and the elderly.
Kireka C Chairman Mr. Balikowa Richard welcomed the SGA visiting team and the families at the gathering. He commended the company’s efforts to support the community and asked them to continue doing the same in the future.
SGA Uganda Deputy HRM, David Alex Tabaro also addressed the gathering; he appreciated the remarks from the Kireka C Chairman and thanked everyone dedicating their time to spend with the community. Also in attendance were: Financial Controller, Hilda Nalumu, HRAM, Winnifred Akello, Head of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, Regina Nabunje, Abdu Nasser Mutyaba, Winnifred Businge, Louise Karungi and other key staff.
