TECHNICIANS (5)

We are seeking to recruit Technicians who are of high integrity and self-driven to join our team of frontline staff.

The successful candidates will be assigned technical duties at our Head office in Nairobi and branch offices.

The ideal candidates should have vast experience as technicians specifically in the security industry, serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about technical products and issues:

 

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Technicians will be responsible for the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of discrete and integrated electronic security systems following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans according to specifications and requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle technical activities related to: Breakdowns, maintenance, installations within the assigned time frame
  • Conduct proper and efficient installations of new products
  • Training clients on usage of security systems ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Complete jobs in a timely manner and hand over to the supervisor for commissioning
  • Commission installations and record necessary details
  • Proactively respond to customer requests and complaints communicating them to the supervisor for follow up
  • Assist in conducting technical assessments
  • Ensure re-servicing of equipment is conducted according to schedules
  • Record and maintain technical records i.e. worksheets, service schedules, job cards
  • Maintain and adhere to good housekeeping practices including litter and technical waste management etc.
  • Conduct basic incident investigations in line with the concerned parties
  • Provide quality service to both internal and external customers by completing all tasks accurately and within the set time frame
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by seniors from time to time

Minimum Requirements

 

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • A Diploma in Engineering field or any other relevant qualification
  • Work experience through internal growth and training
  • Knowledge of Kenya market & Kenyan legislation
  • A valid Driver’s/Rider’s License with a minimum of five years continuous driving/riding experience

 

Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in the technical security industry, must be experienced in installation and maintenance of:
    • Alarm
    • CCTV
    • Access Control
    • Fire Alarm
    • Vehicle Barriers Systems
    In line with KSIA technical standards
  • Experience in working in fast paced target driven environment
