Corporate social responsibility

For many years SGA has been engaged in CSR activities. In 2016 the SGA - EVT Foundation was established to structure the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility to the community.

The SGA - EVT Foundation is named after SGA’s founding father Edmond van Tongeren, popularly known as EVT who started SGA almost 50 years ago and passed away on 13th July 2016. EVT had a passion for giving to those in need and as a result transformed the lives of the people around him both socially and economically by providing support through Education, Health Care, Jobs and Community Projects.

SGA is committed to serving the community as declared by its Mission statement. Together with the EVT Foundation, SGA has chosen to partner with the community to deliver high-impact CSR programs based on the following strategic pillars:

  • Children’s education and sports
  • Health & Safety and Security education
  • Health care
  • Environment

Projects to be supported should meet the following criteria:

  • Sustainable and preferably not have a one-off impact
  • SGA staff should be engaged and learn from it
  • SGA involvement should be visible to community, media and other stakeholders

If you feel your project / organization meets the above criteria, contacts us via csr@sgasecurity.com
